I want to express my sincere gratitude to Senator Ron Johnson for this evening's informational meeting on COVID-era hospital protocols and the continued pursuit of truth and accountability.

I'm encouraged to hear that plans are moving forward for a public hearing in September to hear firsthand testimony from patients, families, survivors, and healthcare professionals. These stories matter and deserve to be part of the public record.

As an ICU nurse who cared for patients during the pandemic, I have submitted my testimony for consideration and am hopeful I'll have the opportunity to testify in person. Regardless of whether I'm selected to speak, I fully intend to attend the hearings and stand alongside the families, survivors, and healthcare professionals seeking truth and accountability. I'll be in Ireland for one week in September, so I'm hopeful the timing will work out. 🙏

Some members of the NYC Council are fighting for the reinstatement of an individual whose immigration status was previously found to be unlawful.

@NYCMayor why aren’t you showing the same urgency for thousands of city employees who lost their livelihoods over the COVID-19 vaccine mandate!?

These were sanitation workers, firefighters, teachers, police officers and other public servants who kept our city running through the darkest days of the pandemic. Many were terminated after years of dedicated service, separated from their careers, pensions, and benefits.

New Yorkers deserve consistency and fairness. If City Hall believes in second chances and restoring employment opportunities, then that principle should apply to the men and women who devoted their careers to serving this city.

We need the entire NYC Council and the Mayor to stop cherry picking and choosing who is worthy of compassion and stand up for the hardworking municipal employees who were left behind.

Will New York Governor Kathy Hochul sign the first law in the US that would require children who attend summer camps to get all the shots required by law to attend school? S3958a (Skoufis-D)/A3254a (Dinowitz-D)

No other state has a similar law.

That is worth repeating.

No other state requires shots by law to attend summer camps.

Why New York kids?

Are there outbreaks? No.

Are current procedures to deal with sick children at camps failing? No.

Did the bill’s sponsors, Jeffrey Dinowitz and James Skoufis, present any information at all arguing why this law is needed? No.

So why does New York need this law?

We don’t.

Stealing MAHA ?

Is Governor Josh Shapiro trying to steal MAHA's thunder?

The Democratic Governor from Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro @GovernorShapiro, is intentionally muddying the MAHA-waters as he is currently running for reelection. He recently stated,

“ I think Democrats are the party of real freedom. Real freedom that... allows parents like me and my wife Lori to make decisions over what vaccines our kids are gonna be able to get.”

What did the Governor mean by this exactly?

1. Was he showing his support for parents to decide what vaccines their children get and what vaccines they don’t get, as opposed to being forced via mandate?

2. Or, was he stating Democrats want to make sure there are as many vaccines available as possible that his children are “gonna be able to get” approved on the market?

I contacted the Governor’s press office to find out. John Gilmore joins me for a lively discussion asking:
