Today we celebrate another step towards equitable maternal health care with the passing of the Postpartum Medicaid Extension Bill. We are grateful that the Georgia General Assembly helped move the needle forward by extending Medicaid coverage up to a year for Georgia mamas.
Help us push GA’s postpartum Medicaid improvements across the finish line!
It’s the LAST day to pass bills in Georgia, and SB 338 has a shot. Call your Rep & tell them “We NEED 12 months of postpartum Medicaid coverage—please vote YES on SB 338!”
How to find your state Rep:
"If we want to go forward—not backward—we must protect access to health care. Preserve a woman’s right to choose. And let’s continue to advance maternal health care in America." -President Biden #SOTU2022#BlackMaternalHealth#ReproRights
Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) thanks President Biden + VP Harris for championing maternal health equity + calls on the Senate to pass the Build Back Better Act, for the sake of advancing reproductive justice, birth justice & human rights for all. #BlackMamasMatter
