@_MG_ @AtomSoft Yeah conformal coating goes on AFTER soldering to protect from moisture, dust, oxidation, etc. You can usually hand solder through it but that ruins the coating at that spot.

@idlehandsdev That's a good outlook! I've just ended up using bins and some of these magney bars. Ugly but it takes zero effort and can adjust as needed. Probably not great for lathe tools though...

@emalone @cwodtke This is it! And it's not totally a bad thing I think. I imagine it will slowly consolidate but being able to reframe a problem through a different co-opted discipline (using the associated terminology) is one of the best parts of this field!

@dia_trahman @jmwind @MitacsCanada I second Mitacs. Lots of control over project scope and expectations. The money keeps people motivated and IMO you're more likely to find experienced devs in grad school. Try looking across disciplines too
