Today I got the reply to my letter submitted to the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs regarding deletion of the Nomadic Chin Kuki from the list of Schedule Tribe of Manipur, the Ministry said that modifications related to ST list must be recommended and justified by the State Government and later should be recommended by the Registrar General of India (RGI) as well as National Commission for Schedule Tribe(NCST).

In this regard I strongly urge the State Government of Manipur to send proposal for deletion of the Nomadic Chin Kuki from the Schedule Tribe list of Manipur. All the indigenous people of Manipur is looking forward to it.

As I have been saying, I will not stop knocking every door even if I don’t have the key. And I also request all the indigenous people of Manipur to stand together for this cause.

And Chin Kukis illegal immigrants, it is my first step against the Constitution Right you have been enjoying till date, which was never your right. I will not leave any stone unturned and will knock every door to delete your names from the list of STs of Manipur.

This is a glimpse of a #Meitei settlement in CCPur, where all the houses were first set ablaze and subsequently demolished by the #Chinkuki group. There are no Meitei residents remaining in this community; they either fled for their lives or fell victim to the actions of the #Chinkukis.
