@MattMBarrett @CenterClassical Much love to our beloved brother as he recovers.

News: I've recorded an audio version of my book The Deep Things of God. Already downloadable direct from @crossway, & coming to other channels after Sep 8. It's around 11 hours of "read by the author" evangelical trinitarianism.

Please pray for Dr. James Dolezal, a dear friend and colleague, and for his wife and children. He was struck by a car this morning and sustained serious injuries. Medical staff are optimistic but the road ahead is long.

"To whom shall you liken me?" Isaiah 40:25. God's incomparableness is the reason for his incomprehensibility and the root of his ineffability.

[Brett Fortenberry @Brett410berry]

@FredFredSanders Thank you Dr. Sanders!!! Was reading your “Fountain of Salvation” book in prep for my lesson. Thought to ask! Blessings!

[Brett Fortenberry @Brett410berry]

@FredFredSanders do you have favorite commentaries on the Gospel of John? Any recommendations for pastors and ministers? Thank you!

"When we say begotten we mean the same as when we say ‘son.’ Being son is a consequence of being begotten, and being begotten is implied by being son”

Long ending of Frankenstein resolves a lot of issues; glad to see it restored by serious text criticism.

We don't need a love that affirms us.

We need a love that affirms what is good in us as creatures, that rescues us from the bad we have made of ourselves as sinners, and that elevates us to a good beyond our wildest dreams.

That's the kind of love God offers us in Jesus Christ

[Tom Hicks @TomHicks2LCF]

While I disagree with @MattMBarrett, and there are some valid questions about his leaving, I have benefitted from his work and hope to continue to do so. I say this as one who is not even slightly tempted to be anything other than a Baptist.

[Scott R. Swain @scottrswain]

The crown of glory that God gave man in creation, of which man deprived himself through sin, Christ restored to man through the noble, self-sacrificial act of bearing the crown of thorns that man deserved.

@FredFredSanders I guess that’s the goal…Faith seeking understanding. It all comes full circle.

[Brett Fortenberry @Brett410berry]

@FredFredSanders When I typed, “Nicea” into google search yesterday, it corrected me to Nicaea. It was hard for me to initially accept it, but I eventually took it on faith that I must’ve made it up. So that’s a “nice” clarification here.

@JamesGunn Superman was my brother’s fave hero. I lost him in 2023. When we were kids, dad saved us a copy of “The Death of Superman” book. Can’t wait to relive the epic joy of Superman back on the big screen w/ my wife & nephews (his sons). Ty for bringing Superman home.

Twitter is hilarious sometimes in that people will literally mean one thing, but will be interpreted completely different by a swarm of angry Twitter users.

[Brett Fortenberry @Brett410berry]

It’s insane how corrupt the media is. It’s just a great big business of spin.

[Matthew Barrett @MattMBarrett]

Grant me, O Lord my God, a mind to know you, a heart to seek you, wisdom to find you, conduct pleasing to you, faithful perseverance in waiting for you, and a hope of finally embracing you. -Thomas Aquinas
