@InlandCaGuy You can grandfather cuts in over a 5 year period to make the viable for working people now.
There's no way to save SS without cuts to people currently getting benefits or about to get benefits.
@Izengabe_@SeanTrende@willcollier He's not talking about taking their full benefit away, he's talking about capping it at a certain point.
If you really think the only two choices are benefits at $124k a year and absolutely nothing, you gotta expand you're thinking
@kjgillenwater@SeanTrende@MariaKoklanaris 124k in government benefits per year, plus Medicare, plus other assets, usually makes for plenty. Also, it's completely unsustainable given the country's debt and Social Security's solvency issues. It's gonna change whether you like it or not.
@KimFederalist2@SeanTrende He likely got his information from the social security website. It lays it out pretty plainly. It's really not hard to figure out. His numbers are correct
@seanholeary1@_nickmessenger She has a lot of ideas actually. She has proposed a plan that makes sense. People might disagree with it, but at least it's economically viable
@americanaradio4@NewYorkGolfer13 There's been plenty of outside shows affected by the weather. But they're usually handled 100 times better. No one's mad at the weather, we're frustrated with the handing of it.
@Robert_Auth@OneJerseySchorr@VoteMyhre Nothing is wrong with standing up for America. Standing up for America is great, but I fail to see how this bill does this.
What's your long term goal? You're right, I'm not privy to it, but would love to know.
