We've been thinking var is cool if Foo is a simple type. But if it's too complicated, like a Dictionary<Container<Y>, List<Tuple<...>>> then the type on the left is more helpful.

@JigarShahDC I agree this is achievable for homes enrolled in a program. But we need a change of mindset for both utilities and consumers. We've seen utilities struggle valuing distribution grid impacts of Demand Flexibility. And consumers need to be willing to "pitch in" for the common good.

@clawrence @BretCoffman @russ_conser @CNBC Absolutely. V2G is promising, but requires good battery chemistry (or a rental model), installed home electronics (like disconnect switches), regulatory frameworks, hardware that supports bidirectional charging and software standard improvements.

@clawrence @Gibson_Greeting @amolwankhede @CNBC There's more value for some types of utilities, if you look closely. We have several value streams identified, with a unique proof point.

For consumers, saving on TOU rates via Demand Flexibility managed by software is a big win. With wholistic thinking, utilities save $$$ too.

In my experience, software that is fully aware of an asset's duty cycle and designed around the end user is acceptable.

@kimdhamilton I've wanted to follow one standard, but they want to charge $15K for a status report. That's a little steep. But if you listen to the right people, you find out they have an architectural flaw in their approach, so you're already ahead.
