@AdrianBonenber1@EvansRyan202 In retrospect, Star Trek should have run on PBS between Sesame Street and Mr Rodgers, same aspirational but deeply unrealistic world view.

I almost hesitate to promote this, because it wasn't really intended to be a piece. I just sort of sat down and it came out. Maybe someone else out there has the same type of day today, and it'll speak to them.

@MattZeitlin My sons are tougher, have more friends, more confidence than other kids I see. There are other ways to gain this, sure, but many schools don't have quality programs, so you go to private clubs outside. For character formation, my sons learned more in sports than the classroom.
@MattZeitlin My sons played expensive youth sports at a high level. State championships, one played in college. Yes, it's expensive and time consuming. 2 ACL surgeries and a broken leg. But schools no longer provide physical activity, competition, and other opportunities to learn resilience.
@Jacob__Siegel My 20 year son has one. So do all his jock friends. They just call it a mullet, or modern mullet. He goes to college in MN and def not a queer thing.

RIP to Philip Caputo, author of Vietnam War memoir, A Rumor of War.
I met him promoting Ghosts of Tsavo, his ‘02 nonfiction account of man-eating lions in E. Africa.
Stalked by lions & Vietcong , he commented: Man is by far the most dangerous animal.”

Note there is no reference to the Islamic State’s Central Africa Province (ISCAP), aka #ADF, which is waging a brutal campaign agnst civilians in the #DRC.
The reference to #Congo is in the context of the #M23 conflict solely. @amnestyusa

the passion.
