We think having no ‘boxes’ is more dangerous, but what would the ppl on bikes who use it know? Where’s the data or discussion to back this up?
In the meantime anyone got some spare paint we could borrow, before one of us gets hurt or killed by @ReadingCouncil behaviour? 🎨🚧🚴♀️
During resurfacing @ReadingCouncil removed a junction box which has made it dangerous to use a cycle route on Henley Rd. They told no one, and when asked - it’s for HGVs.
@JanGavin91 @matthewjyeo as councillors for this ward were you made aware?
This vehicle was stopped on the M25 due to the driver using their mobile phone. Turns out the driver was disqualified with 66(Sixty Six) active points.
Driver reported for mobile phone, no insurance and disqualified driving and his vehicle was seized.

This has to be dealt with, our other pavement is at points unwalkable. The driver hasn’t parked near a drop curve.
If I was in a wheelchair should I just wait until the driver deigns to move their car.

Can you believe I got pulled over by police on Heathlands road, Wokingham on my cargo bike today, to tell me it’s a dangerous road to cycle on with a child? It’s not even a ‘b-road’, I use my bike for transport everyday! Pre -emptive victim blaming? @ThamesVP@WatchWokingham
Not sure why they would close my friend the Horseshoe bridge as you can cut through the back of tesco and avoid that path they are messing with.....that's the idea of diversions! @ReadingCouncil you need to do better
@ReadingCouncil As expected, no diversion signs so you have to backtrack. Bridge closed with no warning signs. Why are cyclists seen as second class citizens? @Sustrans
Can you confirm that my walking and cycling friends will be able to access me to get across the river? @ReadingCouncil the alternative bridges are not so friendly to people walking and cycling @readingcycle
The Thames Path will be closed in sections between Horseshoe Bridge and Caversham Bridge from tomorrow for several weeks for vital improvements to the path. Stages will be from east to west as shown, with focus this week on Horseshoe Bridge to King’s Meadow. Diversions in place.
