@RyanHoliday "When any person harms you, or speaks badly of you, remember that he acts or speaks from a supposition of its being his duty. Now, it is not possible that he should follow what appears right to you, but what appears so to himself." - Epictetus
@big64800@TheRealBearden@arshgoyal13 Ok, I was being a bit glib. My point is that I think you are underestimating the degree of attention the average murderer draws to themselves, in the process of committing and concealing a murder, and overestimating how forthcoming victims are about their abuse.
@big64800@TheRealBearden@arshgoyal13 What is the logical reason for believing that murdering the kid will not increase the chances of you getting caught ?
@TheRealBearden@arshgoyal13 He provides no evidence that (1) 'the abuser is more likely to kill the victim' or (2) 'the victim is less likely to report the abuse' - It is plausible that these claims could be true, but that alone is not sufficient for me to accept the claim.
@Michael_Druggan@stfierros @pbgomez_ Also even if the statement '13.5 million people don't have any access to supermarkets or large grocery stores' is true it wouldn't make the statement "The vast majority of Americans have access to a grocery store." false
