@60sPsychJukebox Some of the best concerts I ever attended were by Fleetwood Mac, and Christine was such a big part of that. From songwriting to singing to keyboards, she was far from being the other chick after Stevie. In her honor, I will now listen to her nearly solo show-closer, Songbird.
@MarthaQuinn Yes— and let’s also give some credit to the late, great composer Jim Steinman, whose songs for Bonnie include her biggest hits: Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero. They made a great team. (And btw, I fully embrace your term “MTV generation.”)
@Noirchick1 She had to shoo me off her chair when the cast returned from a break to make Bob Altman’s Ready to Wear, which I was covering as a journalist at a chateau near Paris. Another day at the office.
@60sPsychJukebox That photo is a later version. The first three albums had more of a pop bounce and a wonderful singer and songwriter in Thelma Comacho. Mary Arnold (in the photo) replaced her just as the group became more country-leaning and Rogers-centric.
