@SPFLWatch I and many others have slaughtered Clarke for not giving youngsters, including miller, a chance. He does and it’s still the wrong decision. Seems the reports have miller not being great in the squad, which you need for 2-3 weeks away, may have legs. On paper he has to be there.
@TEnglishSport Clarke can’t win here. Hes been slaughtered for not giving youngsters a chance, miller included, and when he does it’s crucified. Clearly impressed in the group.
@EssexPR Does this not mean you could pay someone minimum wage for 40 hours (say £26k a year) then give them £45k tax free as 1 hours overtime payment? 😂
SPFL Statement
"Firstly, we send our congratulations to Celtic on winning the William Hill Premiership in the most exciting of circumstances and send our commiserations to everyone at Heart of Midlothian following an incredible campaign.
“We would also like to thank the referee and his excellent team of match officials for their cool heads on such a dramatic day. Given the speculation about the conclusion of the game, we would like to make clear that, prior to awarding the trophy, we were informed by the match referee that the match had ended and had not been abandoned.
"Yesterday’s match showed off the very best of the Scottish game and the drama and excitement that it is rightly famed for. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the climax of the William Hill Premiership, with millions of viewers watching the match on Sky Sports and across the globe.
"However, we utterly condemn the scenes which saw a number of Celtic supporters encroach onto the field of play. We await the report of our match delegate regarding any specific incidents that took place but, regardless, supporters entering the field of play in any circumstances is wholly unacceptable and puts those participating and working at a match at risk. We note that entering the pitch in England and Wales has been a criminal offence since 1991. We urge anyone with information about any alleged criminal activity to contact Police Scotland."
@Mickkennedy1904 Being shit and cheating are two different things. Unfortunate that the result of 3-4 big decisions in the last 5 days have fallen one way, all of which have at least some doubt attached, which doesn’t make for a good look. You’re right though, it can’t be intentional cheating.
@GCAJoeA 100%, relatively speaking membership is ridiculously good value. But turning up to play any top tier course is almost a once in a lifetime for most, now.
@GCAJoeA I said this last year, that the prices were on a knife and edge of it becoming undesirable or elitist - stopping people who have previously loved the golf here ever coming back. Even with Scottish resident rates it’s become unaffordable for most Scottish golfers too.
@Dunkm97 Why do people feel the need to shit on things with half facts? For a day at a premium sports event the prices are super reasonable, ample cheap parking and kids go free.
@AndyTFE@panmuregolf I’ve said this for the longest time, Andy, 4-14 is one of the best stretches of golf anywhere in the world. Criminally underrated.
@chris_sutton73 Consistency is the problem for me. Was at Dens yesterday and the ball was maybe in play for 25minutes in the second half, more lengthly stoppages and only 4 added. It’s what creates the narratives, consistency shouldn’t be difficult here.
@Player2Pro_@CoachDougieA 12 team league makes the jeapordy so high and as a result the overall style of play is physical don’t lose football, where kids don’t have a chance to make mistakes and learn. 6/12 in prem still relegation candidates, no room for error.
@LouStagner@DonnieSolesbee Would be interested to see over the course of a week like this what the SG distance from the fairway looks like. Assumption being 40yards left should be more punitive than 4 yards left, I’m not convinced that’s always statistically significant on many PGA tour courses.
