Calling all founders, freelancers, creators, and entrepreneurs in Edinburgh!
I'm excited to announce that I'll be relaunching Rebel Meetups Edinburgh in partnership with @dffrntHQ and @asherphizzle at our first event on 14 August, a little under 3 weeks from now!
Rebel Meetups are a place to connect with other unreasonably ambitious, likeminded people in your city to talk about all things entrepreneurship, for free.
The best part is you don’t need to be a founder yet or at all – you can work in startups, have a side hustle or hobby, or even just be interested in the subject.
What matters most is that we are open to all who are curious about building things that make the world a little bit (or a lot) better.
The intention is to create a networking event that is as accessible and non-intimidating as possible in order to support Rebel Meetups’ wider mission to democratise access to entrepreneurship.
The thing is, the people you surround yourself with, particularly in the early-stages of your business journey, have a significant influence on how you learn and grow, which is why this is so important to me.
In fact, we’ve had collaborations and partnerships formed through these meetups, as well as friendships and even relationships!
If that sounds like a good time, then I'm looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible at our relaunch event.
We'll also be having a fireside chat with a special guest, so don't miss this one!

That's all for now. Hope to see you there,

Enough courage to get started + enough sense to focus on something you’re naturally suited for + enough persistence to stay in the game long enough to catch a few lucky breaks + a lot of hard work.
There’s your recipe.
"Life rewards action, not intelligence.
Many brilliant people talk themselves out of getting started, and being smart doesn't help very much without the courage to act.
You can't win if you're not in the game."
- @JamesClear
The only way to get where you want to go is to start from where you are.
Not where you want to be. Not where you think you should be. Not where you wish you were. Not where others think you should be. But where you are.
It’s amazing how much we mess this up. We don’t have to.
"Talent is rarely enough to assure victory and bad luck is rarely enough to guarantee defeat.
Do they influence the outcome? Of course. But your response will always sway the final tally."
– @JamesClear
"10-year dreams. 5-minute actions.
Where do I want to be in 10 years?
What can I do in the next 5 minutes to contribute to that outcome?"
– @JamesClear
"Start now. Optimize later.
An imperfect start can always be improved, but obsessing over a perfect plan will never take you anywhere on its own."
-@JamesClear
"Do I need to spend more time searching for better information or do I need to spend more time acting on the information I already have? Is the bottleneck strategy or execution?"
– @JamesClear
