I haven't seen much chatter about Saquon Barkley and his potential bouncing back in 2026
- Most people expected a decline in production after his 482 total touches season in 2024
2024 Metrics (per @FantasyPtsData)
- 125.3 Rushing YPG (RB1)
- 5.81 YPC (RB2)
- 7.2% Explosive Run Rate (RB4)
- 3.55 YBCO/Att (RB1)
- 22.3 FPG (RB1)
2025 Metrics
- 71.3 Rushing YPG (RB10)
- 4.07 YPC (RB33)
- 4.6% Explosive Run Rate (RB20)
- 2.11 YBCO/Att (RB23)
- 14.6 FPG (RB15)
It's obvious that the Eagles' decline in run-blocking ability was a major factor
- They had the 2nd-best run-blocking OL in '24 vs. 11th-best in '25
I think the bigger culprit was Kevin Patullo's completely anemic offensive scheme
- The Eagles since replaced Patullo with Sean Mannion (Packers QB Coach)
- They have also hired the Packers WR coach (Ryan Mahaffey) as their run game coordinator and the the Vikings former OL coach (Chris Kuper) as their new OL coach
I think that Barkley's bouncing back is going to be very dependent on how this OL and offensive scheme looks in 2026 more than anything else
- Barkley ranked outside the top 30 in MTF/Att and YACO/Att in each of the last two seasons
I currently have him ranked as my RB13, and prefer several players after him in Best Ball contests right now
