@RAJCane9@PeteThamel The NCAA isn’t allowed to punish them for anything related to this. Good thing the CFP is independent of the NCAA. Conferences might be a little harder to navigate
@DynastyZoltanFF Aka the 110 includes escalators that in order to hit would require him to win All-Pro, MVP & the Super Bowl every year in order to hit. Agree it’s much less painful a deal than it was made out to be initially.
@BarstoolBigCat Basically judge just said “nuh uh” & based on its wording, sounds like Sorsby is allowed to still gamble & the NCAA can’t punish him.
@TomFornelli He also gambled on his own team back in 22, and in 2026 sought treatment for addiction after his investigation came to light in 2026. This would set a precedent that gambling on your own team is legal as long as you do it a lot and check into rehab after they open investigation.
@PeteThamel@MattBarrie Not really a both sides have points argument. He gambled on his team and didn’t check into rehab until he was in trouble and used rehab to shield behind mental health.
If he plays it means gambling on your team is legal as long as you do it a lot.
