NOBODY gets away with any shortcuts in construction - nobody. I’m told this is somewhere on Corner of peponi Road and Donyo Sabuk lane. The building pillars are cracking. Authorities have commendably moved to close the site.

My people, on 9th August I warned you about plans by this government to quietly hand over critical parts of our power infrastructure to foreign interests (a company likely with Adani links )

Today, it’s no longer theory.

In today’s newspaper, Kenya has signed a Sh40 billion PPP deal with PowerGrid India and Africa50 to build and control key high-voltage lines and substations.

This is the same model that has left citizens in other countries eg Bangladesh paying more for electricity, with governments later claiming their hands are tied by contracts courtesy of Adani

Once power infrastructure is locked into long PPP agreements, pricing control slowly shifts away from the people.

That is why electricity will not get cheaper under such decisions, only more expensive.

I am not shocked. I am concerned.

2027 must be about reversing reckless policy, not recycling slogans.
