@susan2519@youngestwoman2 You can rent here relatively easy if you’re willing to sacrifice some things. I live with good friends 3bd/1b for $1600 each w AC and heat included.
Massie: "I don't think the problem is that our elections aren't secure because we control the House, Senate, White House, and to some degree we control the Supreme Court. So I ask my Republican colleagues, why are you complaining about election fraud? We won all the damn elections!"
Donald Trump’s spiral continues. The failed president, pocketing billions as he drives up prices, is afraid to lose the midterms. So he will reheat debunked election conspiracy theories and tell bizarre new lies to deny his 2020 defeat and attack voting rights. This is a disaster for Trump puppet Mike Collins. Already mired in scandal, Mike will now have to double down on conspiracy theories toxic in the General Election. From the start, Trump’s obsession with Georgia elections revealed his fury that Black voters were instrumental to his defeat. I'm asking concerned citizens nationwide to join me and support our voter protection efforts in Georgia.
BREAKING: the clock struck midnight and our bipartisan housing bill is now law.
Trump refused to sign it, but he couldn't stop it.
This law is GROUNDBREAKING.
It will build more housing, bring down costs, and for the first time, stop private equity from buying up homes.
"The meeting between Archila and Iravani was called off after the State Department—which was not informed ahead of time—met with the Mamdani administration to clarify acceptable conduct, according to the State Department official."
This is a scandal.
No US rent freeze has delivered broad, lasting positive results.
They deliver short-term wins for sitting tenants in controlled units (lower rents, stability). NYC’s long-running system and SF’s 1994 controls show this.
But rigorous studies document the downsides: reduced housing supply (SF lost ~15% of rental stock as landlords converted/exited), poorer maintenance, less mobility, and higher rents in the uncontrolled market. Cambridge’s decontrol boosted property values and cut negative spillovers.
NYC’s decades of regulation haven’t fixed its shortage. Economists’ consensus: these policies shrink quantity and quality of housing over time.
Tenant relief for some today often means less housing for others tomorrow.
MAJOR BREAKING: In a now deleted post by former MMA fighter Daniel Cormier, he posted screenshots of Eric Trump trying to get an insider scoop on whether any of the MMA fights at the White House are rigged so that he could try and illegally make money off of them..
Below is the Direct Messages that Trump allegedly sent Cormier. There is no reason to doubt the legitimacy of these messages.
@Jason@litcapital@theallinpod@DavidSacks@chamath@friedberg Jason, I feel like you have to call out the SpaceX self dealing and rule changes on the next pod…
Everyone force buy —> price go big up —> rich millionaire lock up end —> price go down as they sell —> 401k old people who have no money artificially inflated price for rich🙈🙉🙊
Thank you. The important part is zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. Best way to put money in someone’s pocket is to not take it out in the first place. Bottom half is only 3% of total tax revenue. But it’s very meaningful to that person. Zero it out.
