I love Uganda 🇺🇬

[Kato Joseph Sserusiba @katosserusiba25]

Uganda didn't fight UMEME to inherit darkness. We fought for reliable , affordable and dignified power.

For the welder, the student, the mother and the factory, electricity must be on. Not tomorrow, today.

Fix the grid, deliver on the promise.

Restoring public trust starts with putting citizens first. Saluting State Minister Hon. @HonWitonze Kisekka for pushing meaningful, efficiency-driven changes at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. @mia_uga @hopeainomugisha @kaitesishi

I got my passport within 4 days. Alot of reforms there.

[Kato Joseph Sserusiba @katosserusiba25]

Thank you, Hon. @HonWitonze Kisekka, for your swift empathy and leadership during this difficult moment.

I like the facts.

H.E. @KagutaMuseveni built Karuma, Isimba, and Bujagali to industrialize Uganda, driving generation costs down to 4-5 cents, making our industrial power among the cheapest in East Africa.

Yet, local factories face blackouts while we export power to Kenya at a cross-border rate of 10 cents, which is then retailed regionally for over 20 cents.

The problem isn't lack of power; it's our aging, underfunded domestic distribution grid that cannot deliver this surplus energy to our own industries.
Uganda’s factories and local grid infrastructure must be fixed and powered ON first! @hopeainomugisha @UEDCLTD @PatienceNamudd4

Your entire thread is based on hearsay, not facts. Let’s set the record straight:

On "vulgar language" Hajjat Namyalo was addressing Wanainchi in the language they understand best. Passion is not vulgarity. She was defending the common person, not reading a polished boardroom script. The public understood her message perfectly.

On "corruption scandals" – Which scandals? Mention them with evidence. ONC under Hajjat Namyalo is the most audited and most visible office precisely because she empowers openly, in markets, ghettos, and villages. Where there is no evidence, there is no scandal, only propaganda.

On "disrespecting UEDCL" – Demanding that a government agency serves Ugandans better is NOT disrespect. That is the core job of ONC, to be the voice of Wanainchi when institutions fail them.

Leadership is not about protecting corporate titles; it's about protecting the people.
If "professionalism" means staying silent while people suffer and speaking in polished English that helps no one, then we prefer Hajjat Namyalo's brand of leadership, direct, fearless, and pro-people.
The ground knows the truth. ONC is working. Let the facts speak!

Blessed week Hon @SamBegira

[Yoweri K Museveni @KagutaMuseveni]

This evening I bid farewell to the outgoing Iranian Ambassador to Uganda, H.E.Majid Saffar.

We discussed our cooperation in agriculture, healthcare and education, including opportunities in agro-processing, the supply of seeds and fertilisers, agricultural machinery, and investment. We also discussed expanding medical ties, building on existing partnerships with institutions such as the Uganda Police.

I commend him for a successful tour of duty, strengthening our mutual relations. I wish him good luck in his future assignments.

From Jajja roasting maize and Hajjat tailoring a gomesi, to the boda guy charging phone, micro-businesses need electricity at a fair rate of UGX 779.4 per unit just to break even and survive.

Yet, with system losses sitting at a staggering 19%, hard-working citizens like Hajjat are forced to pay out of pocket for power they never even used.

We need systemic efficiency and affordable power ON to empower Jajja, sustain our local economies, and drive true grassroots empowerment. @hopeainomugisha @UEDCLTD @PNyamutoro
