@EDPractitioner@ashleighlowther Might be a local variation, in our hospital we have ‘NIV’ beds on resp that are counted as ‘level 1’ beds specifically just for NIV.
@ashleighlowther@EDPractitioner I find historically in-patient specialities are more inclined to require regular ABGs.
If so perhaps we should push for level 1 in-patient NIV beds to be staffed by people comfortable looking after arterial lines?
