Giddey should be dropped ASAP regardless of what you do with Coby, but AK blew an opportunity to capitalize on Coby's value on a low cost deal.
Coby would have fit in well with teams like OKC and Magic who need another offensive creator.
So when is the last time a team didn't have 2-3 stars (one being a superstar and then 1 or 2 all-stars) and won a ring?
Like maybe the Pistons in the early 2000s?
Also I'd like to know what his definition of 9-10 really good players is. Lol
Teams were very likely asking the Bulls to take their bad contracts for Lonzo.
I'll take Lonzo on essentially a 1 year deal instead of taking bad contracts of another team. Unless I know those teams offering 1st round pick(s) in return, I'm not going to be upset by this.
The Lonzo Ball deal is effectively a 1 year deal.
I love shitting on AK as much as anyone, but people are blowing this extension way out of proportion. #SeeRed
I bet we're going to find out tomorrow that the Bulls could have traded Vuc to the Warriors, but AK was dead set on wanting a 1st-round pick that Vuc isn't worth. #SeeRed
If the Bulls aren't going to actually rebuild, then just go see if you can get LaMelo. You have your picks back.
LaMelo and Lonzo throwing lobs to Matas would at least be fun. If they're not going to be serious about trying to build a contender, at least entertain me. #SeeRed
AKME have a lot of Ls on their resume, but Matas Buzelis isn't going to be one of them.
This kid is good, and the potential to be a star is there. #SeeRed
OKAY!
Now if they use this exception to get some picks by taking bad contracts, then we might be cooking with something.
But that's a big IF considering it isn't something Bulls have traditionally done.
