@AgentP22@Edinburgh_CC Yeah, it’s a mess. Though that bit is actually marked as pedestrian, not bike lane so maybe that is what they consider a 6m pavement! Doesn’t work for anyone
@edinhelp the traffic cones at the road closure on craigleith drive have been moved for cars to drive through but all the signs etc still lying about. Can this be cleaned up?
@shesnewboo@OctopusEnergy I’ve not had a functioning gas meter for a year! @OctopusEnergy have been useless so I’ve now raised it with the ombudsman to see if that gets any progress. Easy to do, you could try that!
@edinhelp dangerous thick ice blocking whole pedestrian crossing at George St/ Charlotte Sq. Looks like run off from ice rink dismantling, accident waiting to happen! @LivingStreetsEd
A reminder that a "cyclist" is just a person riding a bicycle. When that person isn't riding a bicycle, they are still a normal person. They may also sometimes drive a car, making them a "motorist" 😱
"Cycling" is not some secret, elite club. Anyone can be one by riding a bike.
If you have any fondness for the linear park called the Roseburn Path it's time to tell the council. They are very keen to run a tram line on it which means an end to the decades of leisure use.
Streets are for transport, not parks.

@WWCTrustScot@Edinburgh_CC@transcotland Great, now can you please get behind the campaign to protect the connected Roseburn path and keep it as a safe off road walking, wheeling, cycle path rather than a tram line?
A great explanation here of why we want to protect the Roseburn Path. Trams should take space from cars, not walkers, wheelers and wildlife https://t.co/VM1hzsaStM
@cuthbertneil He said it’s “far too early” to think about how it will be paid for 😂 Surely that’s a fundamental question. Totally relying on a change of government to pay for this from national funds. Bold strategy!
As much as I enjoy using the tram, I don't support it running along the Roseburn Path - so I will be supporting the Save the Roseburn Path campaign.
Living trees or metal trees ... living trees get my vote.
@edinburghpaper 2/ CECs TEC Convenor thinks knowing how the £3bn+ is fine detail 🤣
3/ He's basically said it's reliant on Labour being in Government at Holyrood.
4/ He seems to think that the UK Government may help with funding, even though transport is devolved to Holyrood.
@MichaelMacLeod1 You’re right, we deserve better. Imagine if the council could just admit this isn’t going to work and we could have a proper discussion about what the £3bn could fund instead
@JohnfaeScotland@AgentP22 The reports say the haven’t even taken into account all the hedges and trees that need to be cut down to build noise mitigation next to all the properties so it’ll be even worse
'It'll be a very backward step to put a tram network here'
