In March this year I booked and paid for 2 tickects with @FlyAirZimbabwe (HRE-DAR) oneway for a total of rtgs$9700 which was equal to $320usd (which was an alternative fare for the same).
Three days before flight date the National lockdown was introduced .....

Another B772 joins @FlyAirZimbabwe fleet. It’s twin is in Ethiopian on unclear circumstances, airline will likely try to lease it out. Terrible timing to get this aircraft as the world is retiring old long haul jets for efficient modern ones. Bad deal. Where will it fly to ?

They are expensive to run and demand for flying is low right now. I do hope they get someone to lease them out.

Because the airline has no pilots and engineers rated for the B772s. No routes to send these jets to. Air Zim has no feeder networks to fill them up.

@PTChimusoro @TangaiDavid @AdamTheofilatos Air Zimbabwe have 2 functional aircraft. B762 and B732. The Ejet is in ZA for a C-Check. Once complete it will be 3. The 777s they can’t operate them reasons being no crew and routes.($). Other B767 stored in Harare (cannibalized). 2 Airbus grounded in HRE and JNB.
