Yesterday's discussion on the ease of doing business in Zimbabwe’s horticulture sector underscored one goal: market access for small-scale farmers.📈🌾

🗣️Key concerns for local producers include the complicated and costly business setup process, land tenure uncertainty, foreign currency retention policies, and access to finance.

💡Innovative models like hub-and-spoke systems across pea, macadamia, coffee, flower, and citrus value chains can drive inclusive growth and restore economic dignity.

In 2024, Zim🇿🇼 exported US$58 million to NL 🇳🇱 and imported US$24 million. But given strong demand, fresh produce exports can grow much more.
