A black Tik Tok content creator recently made a video where she indicated that there was a group of young white people that were making monkey sounds referring to her and her siblings in a line at Gold Reef City on 6 July 2023. There was another video where the group can be seen.

The internet sleuths quickly tracked the group down and a message was sent by one of the members of the group threatening legal action if the videos were not removed. She stood her ground.

The outcome is that Afriforum’s Private Prosecution Unit is now taking her to court for crimen injuria and defamation. There is also a protection order - I’m not sure if it has been served.
