It is critical for us to collectively respond to their needs, honor their contributions and respect their rights.

Global figure of mountain gorillas has increased to 1,063. 459 of these are in Bwindi-Sarambwe ecosystem area encompassing Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Sarambwe Nature Reserve.@Bwindi_trust congratulates all conservation stakeholders in Uganda upon this achievement.

Derrick and Dickson can contribute to their school fees through the "i can pay my fees" program initiated and implemented at Rwerere Enterprise Community Training Center in Kisoro. The program trains young boys and girls during holidays to make crafts that are sold to visitors.

Record keeping is as important to artisans as it is to any other businessmen. Artisans from around Mgahinga Gorilla National park are being trained in record keeping, quality assurance and product pricing to ensure profits in their work

Happening today: Using natural herbs to make colors for use in basketry. The herbs used in coloring these baskets are medicinal and freely available in the community reducing the cost of production and producing environmentally friendly products. Thanks GVTC for the support.
