@yo_ean@TaylorOgan It’s moving that way, but only ~50% currently. If you dig into the data around submissions, automated submissions aren’t as common as all other methods.
@yo_ean@TaylorOgan Honda has been selling the most ADAS cars in America since ~2017. They made the decision then (along with Toyota and Nissan) to equip all/most cars with ADAS as standard. So Honda is a bit of an outlier. My guess as to why is that it could be related UI/UX design
@BriannaWu They’re usually pretty good. Though the engine block in that era had some casting issues that has led to some failures that require a new shortblock. Odds are probably similar to an IMS on 2000s Porsche.
@BriannaWu Isn’t the overall industry a terrible place to work with rampant burnout and poor treatment of workers? (Generalizing) Could that same culture and lack of care for the welfare of others also be a root cause that breeds misogyny by at the least not calling it out?
@wolfsburgCDN@MoodyHikmet And his testimony is objectively bad for them in that it shows negligence. In a court of law, corps have vicarious liability for employees.
@wolfsburgCDN@MoodyHikmet If he was prepped, the transcripts suggest it wasn’t adequately done. I’d guess he wasn’t. He interrupted Tesla’s own lawyer to answer a question the lawyer was contesting.
@o76923 @BriannaWu There’s a few things to consider. Such an acquisition would be at such a low valuation, and even then unlikely as what acquirer would want to assume possible emerging liabilities. It doesn’t strike me that Tesla has IP of value that negates these risks.
@DocMCohen@NormanFarb@nilikm It might not be that anonymous given the postal markings. It was posted less than a week ago from a small geographical area in Belleville.
@Ac_Ac_Ac18@TaylorOgan Sure. Understandable. The safest car by that metric is the one that is least likely to be in an accident. IIHS data suggests Teslas are higher risk, but their own occupant safety is comparable to competitors.
@Ac_Ac_Ac18@TaylorOgan It’s all insurance data (near enough) nationally. So all insured miles travelled nationally. The fleet averages are not different enough to simply account for the higher per capita cost based on the average Tesla annual mileage being higher.
@Ac_Ac_Ac18@TaylorOgan You can look at some of the data that IIHS collects on all cars, their costs per capita in third party payouts to get an idea. Last I looked, Tesla was above industry average.
@Nir_Kahn@Tweetermeyer I believe in 2017/18 Honda began to install ADAS systems of some sort in all their cars. So there’s 10MM of them that can be configured that way.
