Near the end of the C.S. Lewis’s Narnia series, there is a troubled band of dwarves who have become so blinded by their own faithless hatred, that even when blessed by Aslan himself, they still smirk and wonder about how wretched they belive everything to be. The woke, the feminist and a lot of people these days seem to find themselves there. It’s sad to watch really.

Yeah, Matt for some of his clearer perspectives seems to entirely miss the boat with AI. Everyone will measurably and meaningfully benefit. But it will also make more obvious that leisure and plentiful abundance is insufficient to the living of a good life, a point which will be made starker once scarcity is in the past.
