The tasselled wobbegong is a species of carpet shark that can grow to around 2 metres long.
Its fringed skin, flat body & intricate patterns allow it to disappear against coral reefs, lying motionless until unsuspecting prey comes too close.

Species of stingless bee that follows a crystal growth algorithm for the comb...When bees follow the same rules in a different part of the hive, a pattern emerges overall.
These bee patterns are still based on the essential chemical rules that govern all matter on Earth. 🐝
Be intrigued, be amazed, fall in love with plankton. The microscopic larvae of horseshoe worms (phylum Phoronida) are beautiful. They were first 'discovered' in 1846 by J Muller and thought to be an adult animal he called an Actinotrocha. They are still known by two names, the actinotrocha or phoronid larva. @NatGeo@zeiss_micro
First time seeing a fluffy soft-toy-like isopod. The hairs seem to collect dust particles (or mould?) as they seem to be in the early stages of collection in the mancae (babies).
