My hypothesis is that in the future, schools will be more for "socialization": learning to collaborate with others, build relationships, be a good citizen... while the "learning knowledge" part will happen with AI tutors who can teach everything in an extremely personalized way. Teachers will be more like counsellors/coaches

You can do MTech from there or get placed in a decent company. That will heal the wound.

Another good way is to learn a lot from Coursera and all. IIT tag matters because the teaching is superior. You can become as much or even more knowledgeable without going there.

And even if you don't do anything out of these. Just be happy na. Life mein sab se badi cheez hai khush rehna. Humara har action usi ko paane ke liye hai. Agar jahan ho wahan bhi khush raho toh farak nahi padega ki IIT mein ho ya nahi. Keep aiming high and working hard while remaining happy throughout the journey.
