@paulg@SteveStuWill Some birds are tetrachromatic while most humans are trichromatic. Birds can see a color range that we can’t including the near UV range. Hard to imagine the birds’ experience of these vivid colors. Could be a reason why evolutionary pressure drove birds to develop such displays
