Rescued this little Tort a week ago, she is in bad shape with Metabolic Bone Disease. Daily injections, baths and general tlc, hoping she will pull through. The result of poor animal husbandry, the wrong environment and diet.

Laura was frustrated she could no longer give blood once diagnosed with cancer, she always believed it was her duty.

So on the day she died, I made it to my appointment because that’s exactly what she would have expected from me. I wanted to tell everyone about her #BeMoreLaura

What I realised was I was very shouty and angry and I realised that people were only seeing that, they weren't seeing my struggle. As nurses you come into touch with shouty people, that person is often drowning - try and help, harness their potential. @shutcake #QNDay2023
