CC-330 Husky Project: Royal Canadian Air Force's (RCAF) first all-new Airbus A330 MRTT multi-role tanker transport aircraft (designated Husky 006) is getting equipped at Airbus conversion center in Getafe, Spain ahead of its maiden flight.
Manufactured in Toulouse, France, the first Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) was flown to Airbus Defence-Getafe, Spain, for MRTT conversion.
Canada's Strategic Tanker Transport Capability (STTC) project involves a nine-aircraft fleet designated as the CC-330 Husky.
While five pre-owned aircraft have already been accepted by Canada, four new-build aircraft are being manufactured in Toulouse, France, and then sent to Getafe, Spain.
These aircraft will eventually replace the Royal Canadian Air Force’s aging CC-150 Polaris fleet.
