This Pride Season, we celebrate the achievements of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and their allies to advance equality and justice – and recognize that there is still much work to be done. Get involved with the Queer and Trans Workers’ Equity Caucus: https://t.co/xpdDYQPk6b
We celebrate the rich and diverse histories, identities and cultures of the First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples – and we must continue to press the government to make good on its reconciliation commitments. Get involved with the CAPE Indigenous Circle: https://t.co/phF9gJtPhp
To build a strong, accessible Canada we need a public service that works for all people. That requires a workplace where public servants have access to the necessary accommodations and protections. Get involved with CAPE’s Disability Justice Caucus: https://t.co/7zbZn8Gtqr
CAPE stands with the 4K @OPSEU members – community support workers in Ontario – who are striking to recover lost wages after Ford capped public sector pay increases at 1%. Show your solidarity: https://t.co/QBQKKuVndT
This government claims to be looking for efficiencies but ignores obvious solutions, preferring instead to gut public services during a national crisis. We should be converting our offices to housing, but instead we’re wasting billions to make public servants less productive.
Remote work eliminates most of these barriers and ensures that women can participate fully in the workplace – without needing to take time off or experience shame in asking for accommodations.
We can do better and we need to do better.
Since 2022, the Treasury Board has consistently failed to justify its RTO mandates. Public servants were lauded during the early COVID-19 lockdowns for their ability to adapt quickly to teleworking fulltime while continuing to deliver exceptional results for the people of Canada.
That starts with showing up, getting informed, voting, and staying connected.
The more members are involved, the harder it is for the employer to ignore you. https://t.co/Pfa389g1if
The Carney govt is sending a msg to workers, not by what it says, but by what it does.
Cuts to public services. Forced RTO. Refusal to take workers’ concerns seriously. And now, reports that the government is considering limits on workers’ bargaining power.

CAPE members are not asking for chaos. They are asking for a fair deal, stable public services, telework rights, and working conditions that reflect the reality of their lives and the value of their work.
This bargaining year, participation matters.
