Today felt like a funeral for America’s scientific leadership. US EPA’s proposal to reject the 2009 endangerment finding denies reality, ignores science & risks lives. Thousands of scientists are not wrong: GHG emissions are warming our planet & harming health.
Today @CARB_EO Dr. Cliff ripped US EPA on its proposal to reverse decades of proven climate science: proposal to reject the 2009 endangerment finding is “another nail in the coffin of America’s scientific leadership" that ignores reality

This #BikeToWorkWeek2025, @AirResources Principal EO Courtney Smith and I are proud to trade four wheels for two & do our part for clean air, healthy communities & a more bike-friendly CA—not just this week, but year-round.
Who’s riding with us? 🚴
Oooh I want a test drive! A first-of-its-kind, this cool truck in @KingCountyWA will reduce fuel use, emissions and maintenance costs while helping firefighters breathe easier.
Ride along as we take our new Oshkosh Striker Volterra out for a spin!
KCIA-Boeing Field is the first airport in the U.S. to receive this hybrid electric firefighting rig. When used in battery-only mode, the Volterra has zero emissions of greenhouse gases and diesel exhaust.
For 25 years, @AirResources has partnered with @EcoCARChallenge to drive vehicle innovation. This year, CARB’s zero net-energy lab is helping teams refine energy-efficient, connected & automated vehicles—while inspiring the next generation of #CleanTransportation leaders.
Clean Mobility Options was designed around the belief that these communities should receive the highest sustained investments toward safe, efficient, affordable, reliable, and clean transportation options that connect them to the places they need to thrive.
.@AirResources and @CalEnergy award $33 million for mobility projects such as electric vehicle carsharing, electric bike-sharing, and electric school buses.

According to a new Veloz poll, 60% of Americans say that the results of the November election had no impact on their interest in getting an electric vehicle (EV).
The poll also unveils Americans' EV perceptions post-election, including the importance of EV purchase incentives and accelerating U.S. manufacturing.

Advances in #ZeroEmission technology mean that construction can be completed using fully electric equipment, from handheld tools such as saws to heavy-duty needs like earthmovers – a notable achievement accomplished by the new @KempowerOyjis EV charging site in Durham, NC.
Thrilled to announce: https://t.co/EYQua2TntI the successful installation of a fully electrified Kempower Satellite Charging System at our North America plant, supported by EV Revolution @AtlasCopcoGroup@HusqvarnaUSA@VolvoCE_NA & the Sweden-US Green Transition Initiative!
The world’s largest land-based crane has gone #ZeroEmissions, making it clear that we now have the technology, including for battery power, to lower the carbon intensity of large scale projects.
.@EPA’s 50th Automotive Trends Report highlights record-high fuel economy & record-low GHG emissions for MY 2023 vehicles. With EVs & PHEVs reducing CO2 by 11%, this milestone shows the impact of #ZeroEmissions tech in building a sustainable, low-carbon future.
The report will be published annually and publicly available. This will help inform Californians, and increase transparency and accountability into fuel producers and costs they pass down to consumers.

LCFS has cut pollution and increased options for fuel consumers. Opponents of the Board’s updated standards have recently made spurious claims.
To be clear, the amendment adopted on Friday does not kick in any automatic price increase – that is not how the rule works.
An additional consumer protection was put in place on Friday by the Board — directing staff to monitor unexpected gas price impacts and come back with program adjustments if concerns about price increases linked to LCFS do materialize.
There’s been a lot of confusion about the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program that @AirResources will be voting on this week.
Created by Gov. Schwarzenegger in 2009, it’s made CA a leader in cleaner fuels to protect against pollution. But it does a lot more than that! 🧵
On Friday, we’ll have a robust presentation and conversation on LCFS with input from experts and the public – continuing California’s climate leadership and protecting communities.
