A 2-day hybrid Workshop on the Implementation of One State One GSTIN (OSOG) commenced today at the National Communications Academy–Finance (NCA-F), marking a significant step towards strengthening GST compliance and streamlining taxation processes within the Department of Posts.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri Subrat Das, Secretary (Posts), Shri Rajeev Kumar, Sr DDG (PAF), Shri Sanjiwan Sinha, DG, NCA-F and Ms. Sharon Shefali Gupta, DDG DoP. The 1st day of the Workshop saw physical participation of 47 and virtual participation of more than 560 officers from across the country.

In his address, Shri Das highlighted that the Workshop is being held at an opportune time just before the roll out of the new GST Module. He expressed hope for a successful workshop followed by a glitch-free implementation of the module.

Shri Rajeev Kumar spoke about importance of Workshop in enhancing compliance, operational efficiency, and financial governance across the Department.

The workshop focuses on key aspects of the revised GST registration structure, including GSTIN, ISD and TDS mechanisms, migration to newly allotted GSTINs, Compliance requirements, return filing procedures, and the management of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM). Participants will also receive hands-on training on the Taxation Module and gain insights into the roles and responsibilities of Circle Offices, PAOs and DDOs under the new framework.

NCA-F had in past organized a kick-off workshop in January 2025 to identify major issues in implementation of OSOG, followed by a Webinar in June 2025.
