Many people have no mental toughness factor. Their default behavior toward anything difficult is apathy, quitting or whining. While that is very sad for them, it makes it easier for those who’re resilient & determined to succeed. What competition? They’ll quit long before you do!
Playing AAU/Club ball doesn’t make you special. Most every kid plays off season basketball. Development & the extra work in the gym is what makes you better. Get your butt in the gym & rep game solutions. If you aren’t working on your game & progress, you’re only getting worse!

Bad players haven’t worked hard to get theirs
Average players get theirs occasionally
Good players get theirs consistently
Great players not only know how & when to get theirs, they get teammates theirs too, because they know the importance of making people around them better!

One of the best ways to show kids that you care about them is through discipline. Part of the responsibility of parents, coaches, teachers, etc, is to hold kids accountable. The goal of discipline is to foster change for the better. Lifelong growth is achieved through discipline!
