I'm seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen the Strait and end Iran's nuclear weapons program. First, the Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting. The deal is structured to ensure that the US and its allies concerns are prioritized, and that if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region. This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace.

I've noticed a couple of bizarre things in the reporting over the last few hours. First, people who (rightly) said Donald Trump was a historic president a month ago now criticizing a deal based on unconfirmed media reports. Second, people who say you can't trust a word said by the IRGC who apparently believe anonymously sourced social media posts.

The president is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other.

Iran’s Mehr News Agency claimed today that the emerging U.S.-Iran deal would include the following terms:

1. Ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon.
2. U.S. pledge not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty.
3. Lifting the maritime blockade within one month.
4. Withdrawal of U.S. forces from the area around Iran.
5. Reopening the Strait of Hormuz within one month through Iranian arrangements.
6. Suspension of sanctions on Iranian oil, petrochemicals and access to Iranian funds.
7. U.S. plan to rebuild Iran at a cost of at least $300 billion.
8. 60 days of negotiations toward a final nuclear deal and full sanctions removal.
9. Iran would reaffirm its NPT commitment not to build a nuclear weapon.
10. During negotiations, the U.S. would not add forces to the region or impose new sanctions on Iran.
11. Release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets, with $12 billion allegedly released before talks begin.
12. Creation of a monitoring mechanism to enforce the agreement.
13. U.N. Security Council approval of the agreement.
14. Talks would not begin before half of Iran’s assets are unfrozen, oil sanctions are suspended and the maritime blockade is lifted; during talks, the sides would not discuss Iran’s ballistic missile program or support for proxy groups.

What is the price that they will have to pay, Mr. President? Is it the “great” deal you seek that will ultimately keep them in power, or yet another extension that gives them a lifeline to continue their tyranny against the Iranian population and the chaos they spread across the region?

A bombing here and a sanction there do not count, Mr. President. This brutal, tyrannical regime cares only about its power, ideology, and longevity. You can choke their economy into complete bankruptcy, destroy vital infrastructure, or even kill a commander here and there.

The fact is, Mr. President, they do not care. They are unfazed by what you deem to be a price, because any damage to the country or hardship inflicted upon the population is not even a consideration in their minds.

They can lose every battle, but each extra day in power signifies a victory in their eyes. Every victory reinforces their belief that their enemies are weak. Mr. President, you are the most powerful man in the world, leading the world’s greatest superpower. Yet they believe you are weak and desperate, the same paper tiger the world has come to realize they are.

And you know what? They might be delusional, but they are not entirely off track. You talk about the internal divisions within the regime, yet you face fierce opposition yourself, including from elements within your own base. You face opposition from some of your most traditional so-called allies. And now, you threaten Israel, your best ally, that despite their irreplaceable and dependable partnership to date, they may have to defend their nation, sovereignty, and borders without American support. That sounds like a far greater internal division to me.

What happened to the great leader who so boldly asserted, “Fight, fight, fight”? It seems that, when it comes to the Islamic regime and its stooges around the world, you are now saying, “Please, please, please.”

More and more, the “price” you threaten sounds like a reward.

Woman who works for California State Parks says they are not legally allowed to clear the brush in Los Angeles

“We're issuing a permit for the homeowners — she tells me that there's legislation saying that the California State Parks are not allowed to clear the brush — So they're quote, not allowed to clear the brush, but they're allowed to issue a permit so that homeowners can clear the brush behind their houses for 100 up to 130 feet.

So all these homes that back up to state land that isn't clear and they're at a clear danger for a wildfire aren't allowed to touch it. They have to get a permit to clear their brush and pay for it, and it's not their land”

Yes this is 100% true, California is making homeowners PAY to clear brush because Democrats passed legislation restricting it for the state

- CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) requirements says clearing brush can require lengthy environmental reviews
- Habitat protections for rare plants, animals, or cultural resources

California law (Public Resources Code 4291) requires homeowners in high fire hazard areas to maintain defensible space of 100- 130+ of reduced vegetation around structures. When your property backs up to state land, you often need a permit to clear or thin brush on the state land side
