The road is intended to decongest Kisumu road by creating an alternative route for motorists from Kaplong and Sotik to get to and from Kisumu by avoiding the busy Kericho- Kisumu road junction.

The tarmacking of Brooke Bond - Kaptebeswet– Chepnyogaa in Kericho county is nearing completion. Around 84 km of the 93km-long road have already been tarmacked and the entire project is expected to be complete in six months.

Progress or work is now at 89% with expected completion within the next 6 to 8 Months.

Inspection of ongoing works on the 16.5 Kilometer Kaptebeswet- Tegat - Chepnyoka KeRRA road, 9KMs of the road has already been tarmacked with 11.5KMs now undergoing sub grading. 13.8KM is undergoing bush and top soil clearing.

The program targeting the Youth is set to employ a total of 3,129 individuals in Kericho County.The #KaziMtaani program will see the recruited youth earn KSH 455 a day for 11 days per month, the recruited workers will work for alternative weekly shifts in a given month.

The on-going construction of the Kericho bypass. The 5-km bypass will link the Kericho-Litein road & the Kericho-Kisumu road. By decongesting Kericho town, the Ksh.445.7m project will encourage faster vehicular traffic, therefore reduce commuting time for travellers #GoKDelivers
