@AlisonMitchell Same weather as the Oval. I've watched 2 games in 3 days on different pitches. 800 runs scored. What if the drop-in pitches aren't proved before a test. Ban Lords until they get the pitches right.
@SteveWhiteRail Really silly situation at Woolwich Arsenal where a Thameslink train via Greenwich departs 5 minutes after your Southeastern train via Lewisham but arrives first at London Bridge. Better planning needed.
@AlanBiggs1 Why are they looking to use drop in strips in future years? I've watched 800 runs scored on two different pitches at the Oval in the last 3 days. Lee Fortis and his staff maintain the large square to the highest standard.
@Joanna19997073 Strangely enough most car parks are not getting bigger. Your suggestion would reduce the number of spaces so making it harder to find a space.
@MickFerry The ground staff at the Oval have radar to predict incoming rain. The MET office forecast predicted that Wednesday's game against Middlesex would be a wash out. Not a single drop of rain.
@WG_RumblePants Difficult to prepare one day pitches at the same time as a test pitch. Cracking match at the Oval tonight on an excellent pitch. How will the 4 day pitch do on Sunday when the County Championship resumes?
