How much should we reduce income inequality?
For guidance we can look to public sector pay scales, the closest thing we have to a democratically determined distribution. In major institutions like the NHS, universities, etc, salary inequalities rarely exceed a ratio of 5:1.
@US_Dhuga We hear that @BatterseaReview, which you founded as Publisher, did not achieve a next phase of growth” because you refused to repay student workers, refused to pay your bills, and refused to intervene when your editor turned out to be predatory. True? #SafeEditing
@stonefencemag @US_Dhuga @AntipodesLit Umit! Aren’t you a man of means, living in an inherited house in Toronto? Why then are you behaving so horridly over the matter of a bill of only $1,300? The world of literary publishing is small — why do you think you can simply abuse someone else’s trust without consequences?
@US_Dhuga What animates your disreputable refusal to reply to repeated requests to settle your unpaid debate @BatterseaReview? Does your advice as an investor include “rip people off and hope it doesn’t go to court”?

There is the work on "audience costs" (i.e. if leaders fear being punished for not following through on a demand), such as recent papers by @Ccrismancox & @mike_gibilisco in @AJPS_Editor...
