@BlueCoProject I mean, considering you just got rattled and called me a moron for merely suggesting a scenario exists where a professional's judgement can reasonably differ from your own, I would suggest a nerve has been touched.
Perhaps Delap will make the next squad.
@swin_j@djenerate1265@pedroelchileno Probably the best team in the country right now but sustained success requires winning, not challenges and "deep runs" that repeatedly coming up short.
Now that they have a trophy under their belt, let's see how they back it up.
@swin_j@djenerate1265@pedroelchileno Do you not understand the word sustainable?
Perhaps let's back it up with a second title before you get self-righteous.
Empirical evidence would suggest success with the brand of football Arsenal play is difficult to sustain but who knows, maybe this team will be different.
@djenerate1265@pedroelchileno There's a beautiful irony in seeing Arsenal, of all teams, having to play like a peak Mourinho team to finally find a successful formula. Coaching scared doesn't feel particularly sustainable in 2026.
@NizaarKinsella That, and the lack of knocked out teams dropping to the competition below is leaving below par fields and killing opportunities for second tier non-PL clubs that can't realistically compete in the Champions League.
@liam_twomey Hilarious, and not at all surprising, that the City correspondent didn't think Khusanov bringing down Hato from behind was anything beyond "soft".
Looking forward to @DaleJohnsonBBC trying to explain this one away.
Will we get a full BBC article on it like Chalobah/Gordon and the handball at Palace?
@scottynissen7@ATLiverpool_ This!
Year 1 = League focus, low workload, minimal additions & significant squad fat trimming.
Year 2 = targeted additions to take talented young squad, with experience of his methods to next level.
Provided he executes his role okay, it's actually a long game that makes sense.
@Advitiya2907@Matt_Law_DT Indeed but good coaches are a scarce resource.
So, when you have one in the building you do what it takes to make it work and sometimes that requires compromise or concession.
This is the second time we've lost a good coach in the same manner.
