Very humbling.
Whilst walking through the shopping area of Zaandam, Holland I came across these “Stolpersteine”, or “stumbling stones”, there are now more than 70,000 such memorial blocks laid in more than 1,200 cities and towns.

Hopefully Richard @WiltSoldiers will be able to match you in the not too distant future. He will be well chuffed with your achievement.
@FlandersBTour It was wonderful for our first school tour of 2023 to see it in the daylight and also to see your magnificent memorial, another piece of stunning architecture in Poperinge.
Tyne Cot was wonderful yesterday in the setting sun.
My group was the only group there and with no rain all day it was wonderful to be out and about in 2023.
Great to catch up with Simon Louagie @TalbotHousTubby as he briefs my group and Duchess waits patiently until he’s finished (she’s heard it hundreds of times before).
Also good to catch up with @FlandersBTour after we passed on the stairs.
Here's an advance picture of the AJEX plot at the Field of Remembrance ahead of the opening ceremony tomorrow. Thank you to all the people who have given us names for the poppy markers. It is a very special sight to see. We will Remember.

Teachers we are happy to discuss how we can make a visit to the battlefields personal to your school needs as well as exploring the big picture of the war, it’s impact, legacy and Remembrance. And bring all the different contributors stories to life. #historyteacher#edutwitter
A quick stop en-route for a ‘Memsahib Break’ @GreatWarHuts to see the magnificent Brook Farm Camp.
Good to see @Taff_Gillingham@HorrorBiscuits & @SteveJChambers (before his Gallipoli talk).
Special thanks to Kieran for his enthusiastic guiding, much appreciated.
Fantastic.
