We are coming from the Milimani Law Courts.

The magistrates court has declined the DCI's request to continue with the investigation time.

The Miscellaneous Application file has been closed and Halima Ngache has been freed.

For the High Court ruling, the High Court has requested to be allowed to read the full ruling this Thursday 9th July 2026 virtually.

Miss Halima Ngache was represented by Wakili Ian Mutiso @eyanm , Wakili Dan Maanzo, Wakili Ndegwa Njiru and Wakili John Maina.

Another matter is currently ongoing at the Kahawa Law Courts where Mr Moses Munuve is facing fabricated charges over the similar issue of posting a flight.

We are following up on the ongoing inquest into the abduction and enforced disappearance of Brian Odhiambo which is currently taking place at the Nakuru Magistrates Court.

On Wednesday 8th July 2026, Klinzy Masinde Barasa will also start facing murder charges, for the murder of Boniface Mwangi Kariuki.

Why Did China Just Slash 12,000 University Courses? Africa, Watch and Learn
According to data from China’s Ministry of Education, universities across the country have revoked or suspended roughly 12,200 undergraduate programmes between 2021 and 2025. That’s more than 30% of all degree courses – a sweeping change designed to prepare graduates for an economy increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence (AI) and new national industrial priorities. So, which subjects are bearing the brunt?
•Creative fields have been hit particularly hard: photography, animation, illustration and product design. The University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, for instance, suspended its product design major, explaining that AI now handles core tasks such as modelling and rendering with remarkable ease.
•Language programmes have also taken a knock. Majors in English, Japanese, German and translation have been significantly scaled back as machine translation tools have improved dramatically in quality and reliability.
•Other areas seeing cuts include marketing, public administration, human resource management and logistics management.
It’s worth noting that “suspended” or “revoked” doesn’t always mean these subjects are disappearing for good. In many cases, universities are simply pausing new admissions while they overhaul the curricula, turning them into more interdisciplinary, technology-focused programmes that better match today’s job market.
China is essentially pruning what it sees as outdated or easily automated courses to make room for what it believes the future demands. For African nations still expanding their higher education systems, there’s a clear signal here: relevance to the real economy matters more than ever.

PRESS STATEMENT BY SENATOR OKIYA OMTATAH ON THE PUBLIC DEBT CASE RULING

Fellow Kenyans,

Today, the High Court delivered an important ruling in our public debt case.

The Court upheld the @IMFNews claim of diplomatic immunity and struck it out of this petition. While we respect the Court’s decision, accountability for Kenya’s debt burden cannot end there.
We are preparing a separate legal challenge to the Bretton Woods Agreements Act, 1963, against the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to ensure all actors involved in Kenya’s debt processes are subjected to proper scrutiny.

Most importantly, the Court rejected attempts by the Attorney General and other respondents to have this case dismissed. The judges ruled that our petition will proceed to a full hearing on its merits.

The Court also dismissed applications by the former Auditor General, former Controller of Budget, the current Auditor General, and the current Controller of Budget seeking to shield themselves from these proceedings.

This is a significant victory for transparency, accountability, and the Kenyan people.

We will amend our petition as directed by the Court and return on 22nd July 2026. Our mission remains unchanged: to establish how Kenya accumulated trillions in public debt, how the funds were utilized , whether the public benefited and whether the law was followed at every stage.

This case is about protecting the future of our nation and the interests of every Kenyan taxpayer.
We remain focused, determined, and committed to seeing it through.

In January this year, a killer squad of 12 rogue police officers under code name 'Nairobi Sierra' arrived at the home of Mathira member parliament.

They were hosted to kingly breakfast and briefing by his wife.

Armed to the teeth, two hours later, they made a cowardly and sacrilegious attack on Witima ACK church in Othaya with guns and tear gas but their mission aborted.

Women and children in the church cried their tears and blood out.

After being positively identified and recommended for prosecution, they were instead promoted and assigned duties to coordinate goons and attacks on people perceived as opposed to Mr. William Ruto and his kakistocracy.

As we speak, the now enhanced killer squad of 15 has arrived at the same MP’s home in Gatura a few kilometers from Karatina for dinner and briefing this evening.

They will coordinate attacks on people’s businesses in Karatina town and cause havoc before being joined by the General Service Unit to ‘restore order’ and normalcy.

Since I was targeted for assassinition then by this killer squad in church, I am apprehensive; probably Mr. Kipchumba Murkomen snd DIG Lagat have instructed them to proceed to Wamunyoro and complete the job they failed to do in January.

There is a clear attempt to shift the political narrative in Ol Kalau by the DCP faction. Following the visit by the Kenya Kwanza brigade, the DCP candidate was unfairly profiled as a chokora , a poor manremarks unfortunately attributed to Moses Kuria.

However, the response from the people of Ol Kalau has been both powerful and telling. Just a day later, thousands turned up for a DCP meeting, and instead of the usual expectations of handouts that characterize many campaign trails, residents chose a different path. They contributed their own money to support DCP aspirant Kamau Ngotho, helping him improve his wardrobe and personal appearance.

This gesture sends a strong message: Kenyans are growing weary of flamboyance and opulence in leadership. What they seek now is authenticity ,a leader who truly understands, represents, and defends the interests of the common mwananchi.
