I'm a plant protein. Quite central. I tweet about my life as a nitrate sensor and my other activities... Views are my own and don't involve the whole NPF crew
My nitrate transporter 2 fellows show great behavior to interact with auxin transport… no need to say that I was first to play with auxin guys! But well done 😇
After @CHL1NRT1 transporting IAA to regulate LR elongation https://t.co/RmnU5uQnsz
And after @CHL1NRT1 interacting with CNGC15 to inhibit ca2+ influx https://t.co/C0l6e9REmj
Now NRT2.1 is interacting with PIN7 to inhibit IAA efflux and modulate PR growth

After one year, the urgency to change the unfortunate ECJ ruling on genome edting (GE) became even more evident. Scientific consensus in Europe and the rest of the world that GE is crucial for the efficient development of climate resilient crops and a sustainable agriculture.
My cousin TOB1 aka NPF5.12 (close to NRT1.16 and NRT1.15) is an IBA (auxin precursor) transporter!!! I’m so proud of my familly! Thanks @LabStrader to let the world know.
NRT1.1 also play a role in phosphate nutrition? through recruiting ubiquitin enzyme and a phosphate signal protein and let them fight each other? Too good to be true? I don't know. https://t.co/FloQkFA8d9 @CHL1NRT1
Did you know:
-that Phosphate Starvation Response (PSR) in plants is broadly (~80%) Nitrogen controlled?
-that PSR is likely a circular signaling pathway?
See the whole story in @ThePlantCell. with @lacombebenoit1@hatemrouached@SRuffel@AlaeddineSafi...

Waiting Thursday to here about myself at #iPMB2018!!! Mom at 9 a.m. and @GabKrouk at 11 a.m. A lot of nitrate! I’m gonna switch in low affinity mode!!!
