Developing athletes need to focus more on stride frequency & posture then trying to improve stride length.
Stride length will improve with more force into the ground by a result of the athlete becoming stronger & applying force properly into the ground.
@I_Coach_Speed Let me say that this is an awesome thread. This topic is not talked about much in Track and Field. As a result there's a lot of confusion between team success and individual success. Both can coexist which ultimate allows the individual and team to grow. The two need each other!

We are in an oversaturated market for sports coaching data collection. We are getting away from the art of coaching.
I feel that those who overly collect data on everything are simply filling their ego & justifying things to themselves to validate their value as a coach.

I was feeling bored during my Olympic training and asked how to get the fun back! My sports psychologist said "Work can be boring, embrace it and do it anyways." So I did, and learned to love the mundane as a sign of progress.
