Problems with the Highland Woods Trail between Ferndale and Nichols Park. This trail built just a few years ago was not built up relative to the grading around it. Gravity and water has eroded it and it’s now a running stream after rain events. @CityofLdnOnt

Crash this afternoon on Highview Ave. A driver has wrapped his truck around a tree. Very fortunate no pedestrians or cyclists in the area at the time. Reminder this is our neighbourhood, and we live here, please drive careful on our streets.

Are pedestrian cross overs without signals the equivalent of a sharrow to a cyclist for pedestrians? More dangerous than nothing? @lpsmediaoffice is it time for an enforcement blitz on these? @CityofLdnOnt staff admitted at recent ward town hall that drivers adherence is very low

@london_chrisp @AndrewHunniford The biggest challenge on Ferndale are the barriers added at the speed cushions. It appears snow removal was not planned for with the design, city has been made aware of it, but don’t appear to have addressed it as of it.

Looks like Nichols Arena will be soon operating as a vaccination clinic.

Work is underway at the North London Optimist Community Centre and Earl Nichols Recreation Centre to convert the facilities into clinics where COVID-19 vaccine will be delivered. #LdnOnt #Middlesex /1

Be careful on the Highland Woods trail today. As of this morning it’s easy to use with skates on than shoes.

With several smaller snow events and frequent freeze-thaws keeping sidewalks in good condition is a challenge. Thank you to Cleardale-Highland residents that took the extra 5 minutes to clear sidewalks prior to city plows arriving.

Process update on Highland Woods trail.

Pilings are in place to replace the boardwalk closest to Ferndale, new hard pack had been laid to widen trail on the north leg and cross walk was added in the fall.

Highland woods trail update - crews are working today to lay the base for the section of trail that’s narrow on the North section and working on the pilings for the replacement boardwalk. Some sections of trail will be closed who’ll the work happens.

Our neighbouring community association @LDNOSCO just to our North (in old south) are running their annual tree sale this week. Need a tree and want to support a local community group this is the place to go. In front of Valumart on Wortley Rd.

@AndrewHunniford @jessecablek It has now been reported to the @CityofLdnOnt through the service London portal. Oddly the drop down menu for options does not include "bike lane not plowed".

@jessecablek The plow just went down ferndale with an extended blade. Did not properly plow the areas where the curb has been added at the speed pillows and missed a few other spots where cars we parked on the skirt and had to give them room with the blade. It’s 1/2 usable (so not usable)

With snow building up please keep in mind in takes 1-2 days for city road and sidewalk plows to get to neighbourhoods. If you have a driveway you’re shovelling, please spend a extra few minutes and shovel the sidewalk too. Your mobility challenged neighbours will be grateful.

Which one is most meaningful to you? Extending Ferndale bike lane to Notre Dame; creating bike space in the Ridout/Commissioners intersection; extending the Nixon bike lanes to the White Oaks trails; making Nixon Upper Queens protected; repairing the Commissioners bike lane
