66TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY: UBA SANI GRANTS CLEMENCY TO 27 INMATES

As Nigeria marks 66 years of independence, Governor @ubasanius has granted clemency to 27 inmates in correctional facilities across Kaduna State.

For Governor @ubasanius, justice is not only about accountability. It is also about rehabilitation, restoration and giving deserving people a genuine opportunity to start again.

The intervention provides for the release of eligible inmates, while fines and compensation will be settled for others, helping beneficiaries return to their families and communities.

Since assuming office, Governor Uba Sani has extended clemency to more than 500 inmates and committed over ₦300 million towards the payment of fines and compensation for victims.

Behind every number is a human story: a family waiting for reunion, a life seeking a second chance and a community hoping for responsible reintegration.

This is what compassionate governance looks like—justice with accountability, mercy with responsibility, and freedom with a path to a better future.

As we celebrate our independence, Kaduna State continues to uphold the dignity of every person and create opportunities for deserving citizens to rebuild their lives.

May He grant healing to the sick, comfort to the grieving, provision to those in need, and forgiveness to our departed loved ones. May His mercy surround us, His guidance lead us, and may His blessings never leave us. Ameen.
