We could have had a properly funded NHS, able to meet high expectations and been the envy of the world.

Or we could have had a less generously funded NHS, with honest limits on what it could provide.

Instead, politicians have chosen the worst combination: cut funding, protect hospitals, and leave GPs to absorb the pressure while being demonised for failing to deliver the impossible.

Now it is repurposed to also permit less qualified/partially trained individuals do some/almost all of a doctor’s job.
So, no longer fit for purpose.
