A mom to an amazing son, a wife to an incredible husband, a teacher, a business owner and a proud goalie mom. Life is crazy and busy, but always interesting.
Remembering Queen Elizabeth on what would have been her 98th birthday.
The Perfect tribute by Ed Sheeran at the Queen’s Jubilee concert with a tearjerker photo montage featuring Her Majesty and Prince Philip.
‘We were just kids when we fell in love’
‘I found the one, stronger than anyone I know’
‘I see my future in your eyes’
I cried then. I’m crying now.
I remember it so well. I still get chills as I relive those moments whenever I hear this song. It’s hers now. And Philip’s.
Not a dry eye anywhere near me. Everyone was dead silent during his performance. Complete silence afterwards. Then we looked at one another and sniffled.
We knew we were saying goodbye. We knew they were getting us ready for the inevitable.
She must have been in agony yet she showed up for us, smiling and waving throughout that weekend. The last moments between the Queen and her people.
May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. 🕊️
In loving memory of Her Majesty The Queen, 1926 - 2022

Taya Thomas lost her daughter last year.
This is how Moe’s Education Minister responded.
When the Sask. Party shows you who they are - believe them.

Teachers asked for one line. Instead, government refused to include *their own accountability framework* in the teacher contract.
It's clear: This government has no interest in funding public education.

Becotte said the only addition that the STF had asked for was one line saying that the parties signing this MOU would follow through on their commitments.

15 years ago I thought paperless classrooms were the future. Now I think they're an overhyped edtech dystopia. Students need tactile reading and writing experiences, which research shows leads to deeper, more sustained learning. #bfc530
The drive home was a good opportunity to reflect on the day. Here’s where I landed.
1. The support and solidarity was incredible. Whether at the legislature or in other areas of SK, teachers continue to show their strength.
2. Govt doesn’t care about education. Period.
What a day! Thank you STF for an incredible display of unity.
My highlight was getting to meet @bobbiteacher and have chance to say thank you for all your hard work. #rolemodel#strongwoman
