Today is the 12th anniversary of the referendum when the Scottish people voted to remain in Britain.
But today there is no disguising that the very idea of Britain is under siege. We need to rebuild the idea of Britain, the concept of a single country.

Fight for the unity of Britain!
Fight against the dissolution of our nation from within or without!
Real power isn’t devolved.
Devolution just makes it harder for people to challenge and change what’s happening.

British workers have to confront the government and others who use net zero as a cloak to decimate manufacturing industry here.
Our class should not accept sacrificing our jobs and living standards to maintain capitalism’s energy markets.

Priorities for Britain’s workers include pay and conditions, jobs, housing, energy security and costs, immigration, the threat of war.
But will the debates at #TUC2026 reflect those?
The agenda suggests otherwise.

Matters can't be left to NHS managers or politicians to sort out. Only NHS workers will be able to do so, pressuring trusts and politicians any way they can.

The Defence Investment Plan was Keir Starmer’s parting gift to his successor. It is part ineffective, part downright dangerous…
The DIP is based on Britain continuing to be in NATO, an aggressive US-dominated alliance for war.
It is not about defence.
